Come in for dinner tonight & try the Indian Spinach Curry! This spinach based Saagwalla curry is served over basmati rice with either lamb, shrimp, or chickpea and paneer, with a side of cucumber raita and a crisp poppadom.

We recommend pairing this with Steinlager, a pilsner from New Zealand that will cut the heat of the curry while cleansing your palate, making the next bite even more flavorful.

If wine is more your style, the Gundlach Bundschu Gewürztraminer is a full-bodied white with spicy characteristics that would be an excellent match for a spicy curry. Gundlach Bundschu is the oldest family-owned winery in Sonoma. They have been producing wine since the 1850′s.

For a bottle pour, we recommend the Orin Swift Veladora Sauvignon Blanc. Orin Swift (maker of ‘The Prisoner’) has created a beautiful Sauvignon Blanc with tropical fruit flavors of mango and pineapple that provide a nice fruity contrast to the spice in the curry.

Come in and let us provide you with a superb dining experience. Our staff is delighted to recommend pairings with any dish.

Reservations recommended. Please call 586-2244 or visit our homepage www.weebeescafe.com.

It may be cold and snowy, but we have a winter dinner menu to warm you up!

Our Braised Lamb Shank features local lamb, slow cooked for five hours so it literally falls off the bone! It’s cooked in Kona Pipeline Porter beer with garlic and onions, and served over roasted root vegetables and spinach, topped off with tobacco onions. Perfect with a pint of Kona Porter, of course, or a hearty red wine like the Vietti Barbera d’Asti.

Our duck breast is marinated with herbs and toasted fennel, grilled to medium and served over ginger cracked pepper Israeli couscous, with braised fennel and jalapeño orange marmalade.

Our chef’s take on Pasta Carbonara features Montana made fettuccine, housemade tasso, and peas in a classic egg and cream sauce. Finished with a sunnyside up egg and Romano cheese. Perfect with a bottle of Rombauer Chardonnay or a glass of Fidelitas Semillon.

Our new curry dish is an Indian Saagwalla curry, served with your choice of shrimp, lamb, or chickpea and paneer. You simply have to have a glass of Gundlach Bundschu Gewürztraminer to complement this!

We have a new salad available as either a starter or entrée – the Mexican Salad has pinto beans, corn, Romaine, bell peppers, corn pico de gallo and cilantro in tomatillo lime dressing. As an entree we’ll make it larger and serve it with carne asada flank steak and a warm tortilla.

An already popular new starter is our Thai Crab Cakes, with coconut, Kafir lime, and peanuts, served with sambal aioli and a pipette with Thai vinaigrette.

Come in out of the cold and see what else we have to offer!

We’re dying to try this with a glass of L’Ecole Recess Red, one of our new red blends added to our wine list last week!

New Zealand Mussels – Half shell mussels in a creamy white wine, fennel, and saffron broth. Served with warm housemade bread. Enjoy this with a glass of Chasing Venus Sauvignon Blanc, our latest New Zealand addition to the wine list that has been a huge hit with our staff!

Vietnamese Duck Salad – Napa cabbage, mandarin oranges, almonds, bell peppers, and cilantro tossed in housemade Vietnamese vinaigrette with shredded duck. A glass of Morgadio Albarino will highlight the lemongrass and kafir lime in the dressing and marinade.

Winter will be here any day now… We will be revealing our new winter wine list Friday November 12th!

We have some new wines we are very excited to offer to our guests. Here’s a sampling of several new additions to our list:

2006 Castello di Fonterutoli Chianti Classico: The Fonterutoli winery is located in the heart of Chianti Classico in the Tuscany region of Italy. This winery has been owned by the Mazzei family since 1435 and is the first family name in the production of Chianti, with documents going back to the 11th century. The estate has five vineyards, and the Castello di Fonterutoli was created by blending the wine of 45 grapes representing all five vineyards. The final blend is an incredible wine displaying the diversity of the Sangiovese grape. It opens with mild black pepper, develops into fresh red fruits – think currants and plums – and finishes with the earthy, musky notes reminiscent of forest. This is a stunning, harmonious wine, meant to be savored over a long delicious meal. This wine has limited availability, and is on our reserve list at $85.

2006 Alpha Domus “The Navigator”, Hawkes Bay, New Zealand: This blend from Alpha Domus Winery out of New Zealand is composed of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, and Cabernet Franc. The wine is elegant, with flavors of blackberry and clove accompanied by aromas of licorice and leather. Perfect to pair with pastas, stews, pot roast and other hearty winter fare! This is on our bottle pour list for just $30. Versatile and affordable.

2008 Rietvallei Cabernet Sauvignon, Robertson, South Africa: We are excited to offer, by the glass, a South African cabernet from Rietvallei Winery! This deep red wine brings to mind dried fruit, anise, coffee, and tobacco, with soft oak, pleasant aroma, and long satisfying finish. Drinkable on its own or at its best paired with wild game dishes, we are pleased to offer this for $6.50 a glass.

We have many more new wines starting Friday. Come in and try something new and exciting!
